Electroneum Ez CPU GPU Miner w/ Wallet v0.2.0 developmental updates

I have spent a lot of time developing the next version of the miner, and thought it would be a good idea to shorten the name a little bit, but then I added wallet functionality and it got long again.

I have yet to add configuration saving, multiple miners running at once and auto updating functionality yet and it has largely been bug fixes, quality of life improvements and cosmetic changes. I’m going to work on auto updating next.

I’ve been afraid of feature creep as I began to slowly add all the suggestions people originally had in the reddit thread and therefore will not add any more features beyond what I have talked about above. The miner was supposed to be an easy beginner gui for quick mining but it’s almost fully featured now and I might fork it into a miner that can support many different algorithms to compete with the likes of Awesomeminer etc, with the difference being that my miner would have all features unlocked for free, forever. Because of this, 0.2.0 will likely be the final feature update (I know I keep saying this but I don’t like to leave a project unfinished so I keep adding more things), and 0.2.x will be bug fixes only for the forseeable future.

My about me page is online where you can contact me about business enquiries or find me on social media like discord, github, steemit etc.

If you’d like to donate and make sure that I can continue making free tools you can either mine for me using the miner (using the prefilled url in the current miner v0.1.1) or send crypto to the following addresses:

Introducing ads to pay for hosting & domain name (For like two weeks)

Thank you reddit.com/r/electroneum for all of the support!

My miner has grown to be far bigger than I expected. As a result I’m going to continue adding features in the final version.

However, due to all of the traffic, I had to get a new webhost who could handle the load. I have very little money to spare and therefore will be introducing adsense onto my website for as long as I need to just to pay for hosting, and no longer. Once I hit even, I’m going to terminate all adverts for the rest of the year, as I understand that they will ruin your browsing experience somewhat. In addition, I will only be pushing a maximum of 5 (UPDATE : was 2 but i was making £0.00, thanks for understanding) small ads on the entire website, so as to be of little nuisance as possible.

If this is not okay, feel free to use your adblocker, I completely understand and will not try and impede your ability to adblock using an adblock-killer. Personally i recommend uBlock-origin (also  available for chrome) they support plugins and are open source.

I expect adverts to be present for no longer than two weeks at present traffic counts!

Electroneum Easy CPU & GPU Miner Version 0.1.1

UPDATE: VERSION 0.2.0 HAS BEEN RELEASED

This is the final version with any features added, next version will only have bugfixes.

This is a super easy to use electroneum miner front end that is better than the official beginner miner in that it allows you to mine from a variety of different pools and custom pools, as well as allowing for more configurations.

It is also better than a command-line only miner or pre-configured miner in that it has automatic error correction, directly reports pool fees and payouts within the miner window, and does not force you to use a specific miner or pool.

To use it, just start ‘Electroneum Easy CPU or GPU Miner.exe’ from your zip folder, extract it all, enter your address and start mining!

Features:

  • Supports 5 miners out of the box with no configuration necessary.
  • Allows more config than the beginner miner.
  • Tells you a pool’s minimum payout and fees within the miner.
  • Notifies you of any errors in your config and tries to correct them.
  • Auto-tune feature that automatically tunes and fixes your configuration.
  • Saves your last configuration as .bat and .config files if you want to launch the miners directly.
  • Let’s you pick a custom pool.
  • Has a built in helpdesk if you are having trouble.
  • Easily check your earned ETN at the click of a button.

Source code + binaries are available.

Changelog from 0.0.2:

  1. Optimisations across the board.
  2. Added support for all xmr-stak miners.
  3. Added output box for additional information.
  4. Added ability to check ETN at the click of a button.
  5. Error correction added.
  6. More pools added to list.
  7. Changed default pool.
  8. Fixed broken config construction.
  9. Added AMD multi-gpu mining for upto 16(!) GPUs at the same time.

I think that for newcomers and experienced miners alike, this is the definitive go-to solution for Windows mining.

Often, virus scanners flag mining software as malicious since attackers often install this software on other users’ computers without them knowing. The anti-virus companies are correctly protecting you from this, but you are choosing to mine Electroneum, which is perfectly safe. Electroneum’s site also says this. My exe also has no flags.

Moved host, setting up https, and had to reinstall wordpress

This website is where I will post development updates, source code and download links to software I develop.

I spent most of today trying to reinstall wordpress after I messed up trying to move the database and old installation onto my new host. I’ve also gotten an SSL certificate (two actually there was a whole billing issue but that’s resolved now), and the site should be forcing https on all browsers now.

TL;DR everything works, I think.

Thanks for all the support too, the server started exceeding CPU usage and going down because of all the traffic I’ve been getting (3000+ hits in like a day). This shouldn’t be an issue any longer.

Electroneum Easy CPU & GPU Miner 0.0.3 coming shortly.
